CUGNO

Francesca Cugno was born in Ragusa in 1997 and she has lived in Pachino, one of the southernmost cities in Sicily, until she was nineteen. She then moved to Milan to pursue her studies, where she graduated from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in New Technologies of Art. Now she attends MA photography at ISIA in Urbino. She has a special connection to her roots and tries to explore them in many of her works. Memory and the transformations of territory and rural society are the themes she’s more interested in but her research is constantly changing.
